Moses' Memorial Church sits on top of Mount Nebo. The church was built around the 4th-century AD and has just undergone major reconstruction. It houses some of the best mosaics in Jordan, dating from around 530. The masterpiece is a hunting and herding scene interspersed with an assortment of African fauna, including a zebu (humped ox), lions, tigers, bears, boars, zebras, an ostrich on a leash and a camel-shaped giraffe. Today, Mount Nebo is an active Franciscan monastery, the headquarters of the Franciscan Archaeological Institute, and a popular stop for pilgrims and tourists alike. There's also a museum presenting the history of the site. In addition, you can experience an incredible view of the Promised Land from this attraction.

This tourist attraction is relatively wheelchair accessible but might require extra strength due to some of the ramps being steep and the structure of the tourist site being uphill.

Entrance Fee: 2 JOD, and free for Jordan Pass holders.
