I had the misfortune of getting my veneers done by Dr. Mohammed Darras in January, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had for several reasons:
1) Lack of Transparency– There is no clear timeline for the procedure. You may be told that your treatment will be completed in five days, only to discover that the clinic is suddenly closing for maintenance, delaying your care and impacting your aftercare.
2) Unprofessional Payment Policies – If you’re paying substantially, expect to be forced into paying in cash. If you attempt to pay any other way, the receptionist will scold you as if you were a child, saying, *"I will let it go only this time."*
3) Severe Overbooking
4) Lack of Health & Safety Standards—Dr. Darras does not follow basic hygiene practices. He often operates without gloves or a mask and has even performed procedures with an injured, bleeding finger.
5) Unjustified Arrogance & Poor Bedside Manner– Dr. Darras is unprofessional, dismissive, and rushes through procedures, especially if you’re a returning patient who has already paid. I had to fly back from the U.S. due to unfinished work that severely hurt me. Another dentist had to clean out the glue left between my teeth, which could have led to an infection if neglected.
6) Downplaying Pain to Cut Costs– He insists that the procedure isn’t painful to avoid using Novocain, prioritizing saving money over patient comfort.
The only positive aspect of my experience was Dr. Baisan—she was compassionate, patient, and professional. She did 99% of the work, and I wish her all the success she deserves.
